Like most websites, our web server may automatically log basic access information such as your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. This is standard server log data used only for diagnosing technical issues and understanding general traffic patterns (e.g. which pages are popular).
This data is not linked to any personal identity, is not sold or shared with third parties, and is periodically purged. We do not use this data to track individual users.
All UUID generation, validation, and processing on UUIDCore.com happens entirely within your web browser. When you click "Generate", your browser runs JavaScript code that calls the crypto.getRandomValues() Web Crypto API — a built-in browser function — to generate cryptographically secure random numbers.
No UUID data is ever transmitted from your browser to our servers. You can verify this yourself: open your browser's Developer Tools, go to the Network tab, and observe that no network requests are made when you generate a UUID.
UUIDCore.com does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or persistent cookies of any kind.
Your browser may store temporary session data (such as localStorage) to preserve your preferences within a single visit. This data never leaves your device and is cleared when you close your browser.
UUIDCore.com may display advertisements served by third-party ad networks (such as Adsterra). These ad networks may set their own cookies and collect information about your visits to this and other websites to serve relevant advertisements.
We have no control over the cookies or data collection practices of third-party advertising partners. Their data collection is governed by their own privacy policies.
Importantly: no UUID data is ever shared with advertisers because we never collect UUID data in the first place.
We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand general site usage — such as which pages are most visited and where visitors come from. Any analytics we use are configured to anonymise IP addresses and not to collect personally identifiable information. We do not use Google Analytics.
UUIDCore.com contains links to external websites (such as RFC 9562, Wikipedia, and tools listed on our Free Tools page). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external sites you visit.
UUIDCore.com is a developer tool intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Because we collect virtually no user data, there is very little to secure. Our site is served exclusively over HTTPS. The minimal server log data we retain is stored securely and access-controlled. Since UUID generation is entirely client-side, there is no UUID database to protect or breach.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of UUIDCore.com after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at contactus@uuidcore.com. We aim to respond within 24 hours on business days.
